Dr Anna Kukula MD PhD has been the head of Dermatology Department at Jersey General Hospital since the beginning of 2017. She is also the lead of Skin Cancer Multidisciplinary Team.
Previously, Dr Kukula was working as a Consultant Dermatologist at several teaching hospitals in London, including St John’s Institute of Dermatology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, the Royal Free NHS Trust and in the private Skin Care Network in Barnet.
Dr Kukula completed her medical training at the Medical University of Lodz in Poland and later specialised as a Consultant in Dermatology following her family’s tradition; her mother has been practicing dermatology for over 40 years. After extensive research in the field of autoimmune diseases, Dr Kukula completed her PhD in Medicine.
Dr Kukula is a member of British Association of Dermatologists, Royal Society of Medicine, American Academy of Dermatology and European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology. She has written for key medical textbooks and published a number of articles in peer reviewed international journals.
Dr Kukula has a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers and pre-cancerous conditions. Dr Kukula was trained in dermatoscopy and skin cancers at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.
