WHAT IS TOTAL BODY PHOTOGRAPHY?
Digital Mole Mapping is a surveillance tool used to monitor moles and skin lesions, facilitating the early detection of skin cancers, including melanoma.
An initial set of ultra-high-resolution photographs is taken to document all existing moles across the body. These baseline images serve as a reference for subsequent examinations, typically conducted annually.
Follow-up photographs acquired using the FotoFinder® Master system are meticulously compared to the baseline images to identify any changes in size, colour, border, or shape of existing moles.
It’s crucial to note that while 20-30% of melanomas develop from existing moles that exhibit changes, 70-80% arise on seemingly normal skin. The FotoFinder Master system is instrumental in identifying these new lesions early.
